I’m Chuck Shaffer, and I’d like to welcome you to my web site.  I’ve created Dartonya as a place to display and sell my photography.  

Photography has long been a passion of mine.  I started some thirty years ago with dreams of being self employed as a professional photographer.  I studied, I promoted, but there’s much to being a working pro that I just didn’t grasp.  I just wasn’t destined to be a professional photographer at that time.

Today I’m more that happy to keep my photography as a hobby where my passion and skills have been ably to grow and flourish without the pressures of having to produce or to earn a living by it.

I’ve been entering shows for five years and have numerous ribbons to show for my efforts.  These range from honorable mention to best of show.
